Truitt’s first one-person exhibition is comprised of ten sculptures, all constructed of poplar and hand-painted with acrylic in primarily dark, muted colors. Newsweek praises the exhibition, saying the work has the “precision and presence of contemporary architecture.” The show is also reviewed by Jill Johnston in ARTnews, Donald Judd in Arts magazine, and Michael Fried in Art International.
