This first major presentation of Anne Truitt’s work at the National Gallery of Art celebrates the museum’s recent acquisition of several major artworks by Truitt. Bringing together nine sculptures, two paintings, and eleven works on paper representing the different media in which the artist worked, the exhibition explores the artist’s studio life and traces her development from 1962–2001.
